We are a no-kill animal rescue; so every animal always has a place to live whether they are adopted or not. We will also be a sanctuary for feral cats if we recieve the required
donations.
We DO NOT euthanize except in rare
cases of terminal illness or incurable
suffering.
Our Mission
With respect and compassion for all animal life, Helping Hand Pet Rescue of West Virginia promotes lifelong relationships between people and companion animals, providing shelter and care for each
precious life until it is adopted into a forever home.
The Helping Hand Pet Rescue of West Virginia Inc. is a non-profit organization, whose sole purpose is to ensure the welfare and health of animals. Our goal is to rescue unwanted or discarded animals, to provide them the health care and provisions needed to live a happy/healthy life until that special person or family comes along to adopt them.
The Helping Hand Pet Rescue of West Virginia reserves the right to deny an applicant custody of any pet waiting to be adopted if Helping Hand Pet Rescue believes the pet would not benefit from the adoption.
Helping Hand Pet Rescue of West Virginia relies on private and community donations to help support the pets awaiting adoption. Since we are a very young organization, we have yet to receive any government funding.
If you wish to be a part of this organization, your time would be greatly appreciated; or if your busy schedule does not allow that, any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Our Goal
Hand Pet Rescue of West Virginia goal is to help create a no-kill environment where people are responsible for their pets, where there are no helpless creatures abandoned in boxes or left to fend for
themselves in parking lots, and where there is no longer a need for any healthy companion animal to be euthanized. There are many worthy organizations and individuals working toward this goal. The
rescue network is communicative and non-competitive. Certainly, progress is being made.
